FIRST THOUGHT

Lucas Glover is trending. His recent run of improved play — four top-six finishes in his last five starts — continued with him winning the Wyndham Championship on Sunday. Glover, who at 43 became the oldest PGA Tour winner since 50-year-old Phil Mickelson won the PGA in 2021, won with the figurative clock running out. He became just the third player in the FedEx Cup era (est. 2007) to enter the Wyndham Championship outside the bubble for the FedEx Cup Playoffs and win to get in. He joins Davis Love III (2015) and Jim Herman (2020), who were outside the top 125.
