STANDARD PORTLAND CLASSIC NOTES
➡️ The 54th Standard Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club marks the longest-running non-major tournament on the LPGA Tour. New to the 2026 event, exemptions were awarded to four major amateur champions, bringing Augusta National Women’s Amateur winner Maria Jose Marin, NCAA Division I champion Farah O’Keefe, and Women’s Amateur champion Valentine Delon into the field.
➡️ Reigning champion and world No. 13 Aki Iwai returns to Portland seeking her second LPGA Tour victory after capturing the 2025 title by four strokes over Gurleen Kaur. Iwai, who competes on tour alongside her twin sister Chizzy, enters the week with four top-10 finishes this season, highlighted by a third-place finish at the Evian Championship.
➡️ World No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul and world No. 3 Haeran Ryu headline the marquee contenders in Oregon. Thitikul owns two victories in 2026, including a successful title defense at the Mizuho Americas Open. Ryu enters in peak form with top-10 finishes in four consecutive starts, featured by major championship wins at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and The Amundi Evian Championship.
