Even when Scottie Scheffler isn't winning, his current level of excellence is undeniable and difficult to fathom. Take the Tour Championship's final round on Sunday. He shot a 2-under 68, a round that included two bogeys, a double bogey and left him four strokes shy of winner Tommy Fleetwood. Unremarkable, but still remarkable. His score was the 21st consecutive shot in the 60s, tying the Tour record held by Patrick Cantlay. And his T4 finish was the 14th successive finish of eighth place or better — a feat that has not been accomplished since Ben Hogan in the 1950s.
