Some people collect stamps, others collect cars and even others collect first-edition books. In fact, there is no bounds to the type of things people collect. Rory McIlroy, No. 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking, apparently collects national Opens. He has already won six such titles — the U.S., British, Canadian, Australian, Irish and South African. This week he makes his debut at the Italian Open. Will he add to his total?

Announced: By Troon, strategic appointments at its portfolio of international properties, including Harris Abdullah as general manager at The Els Club Desaru Coast in Malaysia and Anna Darnell as resort director at The Grove in England. Other appointments include Lloyd Walton as general manager at Palmilla Golf Club in Mexico; Chris Geraghty as general manager and James Durkin as golf operations manager at Vattanac Golf Resort in Cambodia; Barry Barnard as golf operations manager at Al Zorah Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates; Stephen Payne as director of golf at The Track, Meydan Golf in the UAE; Peter Holland as director of golf at Centurion Club in England; James Ashman as golf operations manager at Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai in the UAE; and Freddie Rexstrew as operations manager at Muscat Resorts in Oman.
Announced: By LIV Golf, that singer/songwriter Jason Derulo will headline the live music entertainment performing this weekend, Sept. 16-18, at the LIV Golf Invitational Chicago. The Derulo will perform at Rich Harvest Farms on Saturday, Sept. 17, to conclude day two of the three-day event. Indie-electronic group St. Lucia, led by South African singer and musician Jean-Philip Grobler, will perform on Friday, Sept. 16.
