So much of the focus on the 45th Ryder Cup has been on the captains and the players, but what could be a determining factor in the outcome is Bethpage State Park's Black Course. The 1936 A.W. Tillinghast design that was renovated by Rees Jones in 1997, will play to 7,352 yards this week. Here are some other facts to know about the course:

▪️ Average green size: 6,000 square feet.
▪️ Acres of fairway: 30.

▪️ Number of sand bunkers: 76 (8 acres).
▪️ Number of water hazards: 1.
▪️ Number of holes with water in play: 1 (No. 8).
