A BLIP OR TREND?
Rounds played nationally were down 5% in August, according to the National Golf Foundation. On the surface, perhaps not a huge issue, but August marked the second consecutive month in which the year-over-year rounds played percentage was down. July checked in at 3.6%. But all is not lost. Heading into the final third of the year, rounds played are still 1% ahead of last year’s record-setting total.
