While Beau Hossler took the Shriners Children’s Open's first-round lead with a 9-under-par 62 on Thursday, a lot of attention was being paid to Lexi Thompson. Making her PGA Tour debut, the seventh woman to compete in a PGA Tour event was 1-over through 16 holes when her round was interrupted by darkness. Thompson will resume her first round tied for 76th.

LIV Golf: Roshn, a Saudi Arabia-based real estate developer, returns as presenting partner for LIV Golf’s regular-season finale, LIV Golf Jeddah, Oct. 13-15 at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. LIV Golf and Roshn have committed to a series of initiatives aimed at improving Saudi communities through golf.
Bushnell Golf: Introduces its upgraded Launch Pro personal launch monitor, which was developed in partnership with Foresight Sports. The base model, which retails for $1,999, provides ball only data. The Launch Pro can be upgraded to also include club data for an additional $1,500 at the time of registration. In addition to club data, optional software packages are also available.
Sun Mountain: Introduces its Tour Series+ Rainwear Collection, which offers a jacket, long- and short-sleeve pullovers, and pant for men, and a jacket and pant for women. The Jackets offer waterproof zippers, two-way front zipper, adjustable waist, adjustable cuff, and zip-through comfort collar. The women’s jacket has the addition of a hood. The pant includes elastic side panels at the waist for comfort, silicon grip pattern inside the waistband, zippered rear pockets with storm flaps, deep leg zips, Velcro cinch system at leg opening, and a snap system at hem that shortens pants 2.5 inches.
