FIRST THOUGHT

PGA Tour Q-School is by no means viewed as being on the same level as a major, but the pressure is no less intense. While winning a major secures a player's legacy, performing well in Q-School can secure a player's livelihood — if only for a year. The final five PGA Tour cards for the 2026 season will be awarded after the Final Stage of 2025 PGA Tour Q-School, which begins Thursday in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Country Club will serve as the host venues for the field of 176 players. The field will play two rounds on each course, with the top five finishers (no ties) earning membership for 2026. In the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole playoff will be conducted to determine the final spot(s). Golf Channel will broadcast eight hours of live weekend coverage — Saturday, Dec. 13, 1-3 p.m. (NBC Sports App) and 3-5 p.m. (Golf Channel); Sunday, Dec. 14, 12-2 p.m. (NBC Sports App) and 2-4 p.m. (Golf Channel).
