Vijay Singh and his son Qass knew all too well what finishing second at the PNC Championship felt like. They had done so on three occasions — 2006, 2013 and 2020. After a pair of 13-under 59s to finish at 26-under-par 118 in 36-hole event at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, the Singhs now know how it feels to win. It was their 14th top-10 finish in 16 starts at the 25-year-old tournament.

The companies will integrate Foresight’s launch monitors with Sportbox’s patented 3D Golf AI technology. The result will be the industry’s first launch monitor with integrated 3D motion-capture capability.
Announced: By the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, a new partnership with the TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (TATA Steel PGTI), which includes a commitment to developing golf in India and a pathway for the country’s top players to reach the highest levels of the men’s professional game. As part of the global pathway system, the leading player — not otherwise exempt — on the 2022 TATA Steel PGTI Rankings will earn membership onto the DP World Tour for the following season beginning with the DP World Tour’s 2023 campaign.
Announced: By The R&A, a squad of 19 players who are candidates for selection to the Great Britain and Ireland team that will play the United States in the 49th Walker Cup at the Old Course in St. Andrews, Sept. 2-3. The GB&I is aiming to win back the trophy after narrowly losing 14-12 to the U.S. in 2021.
