Youth on Course: 100 Hole Hike

More than 10 fundraising hikes that benefit the nonprofit will kick off Aug. 26 across the United States and Canada

Youth on Course, the nonprofit that provides youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf, announced the launch of its annual 100 Hole Hike fundraising initiative. To participate in golf's ultimate charitable challenge, hikers will play 100 holes in one day, at 10-plus courses across the United States and Canada.

The Hikes will kick off on Aug. 26 on the East Coast at The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort and culminate on the West Coast at The Hay at Pebble Beach Resort on Nov. 11. The schedule also includes the first-ever premier hike in Canada at The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton.

New this year, participants can enjoy playing solo or with a team:

  • Solo: Hike 100 Holes on your own — do it in a loop, play the same hole or three holes, any way you cut it you are a diehard who wants to do it all yourself.
  • Relay: Pass the baton with your teammates so that you each play a set amount of holes that together total 100. This lets you get in your holes and then spectate as your other teammates finish the remaining holes.
  • Tap in, Tap Out: Pace yourself with your team by hiking a hole or a few and then waiting for your other teammates to do a few holes and continuously alternating. At the end your team will reach all 100 holes and be ready to celebrate the team effort.

Whether you prefer to play 100 holes as a relay with your friends or take on the challenge solo, every hole completed and every dollar raised will help ensure that youth have affordable access to golf.
