Question of the week [June 30-July 6]: Would you like to see the PGA Tour Champions revamped? If so, how?

The PGA Tour Champions is possibly the best tour in golf, and certainly among 54-hole competition tours. No need to change anything about the two-day pro-am, the 78-player field mixed with Hall of Famers and journeymen, the three-day, no-cut format with all the stars around on the weekend, and the fan- and sponsor-friendly attitudes of the players.
And the top players support the schedule so just about every tournament sees all the stars across a one-to-two-year period.
If you want the most enjoyable day attending a golf tournament on any tour, go to a PGA Tour Champions event. You’ll be glad you did.

The same faces and games, week after week. What to do?
Increase the field, have a cut and have a real tournament, instead of these exhibitions. Keep some lifetime earners exempt, keep more of the prior year exempt, and go to perhaps 120 players with a cut to 60 and ties.
The better players will still make money and win. The viewer will see some different faces, and perhaps more compelling storylines.

It should be put out of its misery.
