Hands down, the best two moments of the 2025 PGA Tour season were Rory McIlroy winning the Masters and Tommy Fleetwood winning the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup.
The two displayed sheer joy afterwards and didn't give us the downer cursery wave and tempered grin to the crowd as Scottie Scheffler did at the PGA Championship and the Open Championship after winning those.
McIlroy's post-Masters excitement thrilled the fans and TV audience, while he stayed serious but congenial in his walk to the 18th green at Augusta National, knowing what he needed to do to win.
Fleetwood was, as is said, tight as a tic as he played the last few holes but slapped high fives with the younger fans lining the fairways on his way to victory. He reserved his emotion until the last putt fell, bringing relief and joy to all that shared in his victory at East Lake Golf Club.

TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS THE SHORT GAME
What made this Tour Championship so interesting to me was the amazing variety of short-game shots that the course demanded. Flop shots, bump-and-run shots, long bunker shots — you name it. and the guys had to have a command of all those and more to be in contention this week.

I think they should have the last tournament as match play with 32 players involved. It would only be fitting to determine the outcome for the FedEx Cup, but it would also be an excellent way to get ready for the Ryder or Presidents Cup each year.
