Want to play more golf? TGA has your answer

Twilight Golf Association founder Nick Conrad joins host Colin Weston to tell how his initiative gets more players onto the course and competing — regardless of skill level

Golfers? Well, they want to play golf. And, it's fair to say, they enjoy competition and being part of community.

With those three things in mind, Nick Conrad set about creating the Twilight Golf Association, a Type 2 USGA Member Club that organizes recreational leagues and outings for golfers of any age and skill level.

"If I pull together strangers and create a golf league that allows people who regularly fill out the tee sheet to create organized games, that really would resonate," says Conrad of his thought process. "I quickly realized that golf is a great equalizer sport where people with different ages and skill levels can all coexist on the course at the same time. No matter if you're a really skilled player or a new beginner, everyone's always working on something and has that common thread of constant improvement."

In short, TGA sets up seasonal leagues at participating courses around the country. Golfers compete as teams of four — registered either as a complete or a partial team with singles added by TGA — in weekly nine-hole matches in formats for all skill levels. Teams earn points toward a season-ending champion.

Conrad joins "The ModGolf Podcast" host Colin Weston to discuss how the Twilight Golf Association came to be and how it connects golfers.
