Hickory golf is the original way golf was meant to be played. Courses designed by Donald Ross stand the test of time being able to adapt to modern equipment, but still inviting the timeless elegance of play with hickory golf events. The Up River Film Company documented the 2024 Mid Pines Hickory Open at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Playing with hickory clubs in the modern era may seem crazy, but those who choose to play these clubs may enjoy the game more than most people playing with modern-day equipment.
