KEY FACTOR
El Nino is long gone, but other factors like an extremely warm Atlantic and cooler water along the Pacific coast may affect rainfall at your club in July. With the tropical Pacific in flux, 1973 and 1991 join the list of years that weather experts are using to make predictions on rainfall totals for the month of July.

PROJECTED REGIONAL IMPACTS FOR GOLF OPERATORS
> Looking at the average July rainfall totals from the comparison years, clubs in the Northeast and Southeast can expect a continuation of drier than normal conditions.

> Operators in Florida can also expect drier than normal conditions in July.

> Clubs in the Central Plains, Mid-Atlantic and along the Gulf Coast can expect wetter conditions, and a slightly higher than average number of rainy days.

> Looking further West, conditions in comparison years varied from dry on the Pacific Coast to wetter than average in the Great Lakes. Clubs in the Rocky Mountain region may even see scattered monsoonal thunderstorms.
