Forecast: September 2024

Heading into September, the tropical Pacific and Indian and Atlantic Oceans begin to cool near the equator. Away from the equator, the Atlantic and much of the Pacific remain warmer than normal for this time of year.

In the comparison years of 1952, 1973, 1991, 2010, 2016 and 2020, much of the eastern United States begins to dry, however:

> Clubs along the Gulf Coast might be slightly wetter than normal, especially those closer to Texas.

> Golf club operators in the Plains can also expect their courses to be much wetter than usual. This also applies to courses extending into Montana and Wyoming.

> In the West, playing conditions are expected to be drier than normal, especially the Southwest.

The weather doesn’t have to ruin your club’s revenue. Learn how Vortex can help mitigate your club’s unique weather risk by calling or texting Eric Anderson at 203-550-6150 or emailing at eanderson@vortexinsurance.com.
