KEY FACTOR
Peak summer season may be winding down, but there’s still plenty of revenue on the line. And with August weather shaping up unevenly across the country, now’s the time to consider rain insurance tailored to closing the season on a strong note. The forecast below offers a data-backed outlook — based on 75 years of historical rainfall averages — to help prepare for the month ahead.

PROJECTED REGIONAL IMPACTS FOR GOLF OPERATORS
Ocean temperatures remain relatively stable heading into August, with cooler water off the West Coast and warming in the Atlantic driving familiar late-summer patterns. Here’s what clubs across the country can expect in terms of playable golf days:

> More playable days across the South, Plains and Midwest due to abnormally dry conditions.

> Slightly more dry days in the Rockies, Florida and Northeast.
> Fewer playable days in the Pacific Northwest and Mid-Atlantic due to wetter-than-average conditions.
> Near-normal conditions in California, with a possible wet lean in the broader Southwest.

A custom rain insurance policy can help safeguard your club’s revenue against weather-related disruptions. To learn more, reach out to Eric Anderson at 203-550-6150 or eanderson@vortexinsurance.com.
