Hideki Matsuyama won the Genesis Invitational on Sunday to become the winningest Asian player in PGA Tour history. Matsuyama, 31, notched his ninth Tour win to break a tie with K.J. Choi of South Korea. And Matsuyama won in epic fashion. In shooting his 9-under 62, he gained 8.471 strokes on the field in the final round, the highest Strokes Gained: Total mark in a final round by a Tour winner since Rory McIlroy at the 2019 RBC Canadian Open (8.676).
