The field for the PGA Tour's Mexico Open may not have been the toughest thus far in the 2025 season, but that takes nothing away from Brian Campbell's gritty playoff victory over Aldrich Potgieter Sunday. Campbell, 31, entered the final round just a shot behind Potgieter and given that his previous best finish on Tour was a T12 at the 2017 John Deere Classic, Campbell appeared to be a long shot. His final-round 70 forced the playoff, which he won on the second playoff hole — thanks in part to a shot that ricocheted off a tree. The win came in Campbell's 28th start. "To be in this position is just so unreal. I can't believe it, really."
