Amateur Luke Clanton, a Florida State junior, is making his second attempt to become eligible for PGA Tour membership through PGA Tour University Accelerated. Clanton, after missing the cut at the WM Phoenix Open, enters this week's Cognizant Classic with 19 points in PGA Tour University Accelerated, and a made cut will elevate him to the 20-point threshold to earn Tour membership. When he reaches 20 points, Clanton will be eligible for full PGA Tour membership following the conclusion of the collegiate season in May. This will be Clanton's 12th career PGA Tour start, highlighted by a pair of runner-up finishes in 2024.
