FIRST THOUGHT

There is no doubt that Collin Morikawa is one of golf's elite current-day players. His No. 4 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking and six PGA Tour wins, including two major championships, will attest to that fact. But the 28-year-old has to be wondering what he's been leaving on the table. On Sunday, Morikawa posted a runner-up finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It was his 11th career second-place finish and fourth since the start of 2024.
