FIRST THOUGHT

The golf air that Nelly Korda resides these days is quite rare. On Sunday, the 25-year-old won the Chevron Championship, the year's first women's major. In doing so, Korda won the fourth straight tournament on the LPGA schedule and her fifth consecutive start. The two-time major winner joins Kathy Whitworth (1969), Mickey Wright (1962, 1963), Annika Sorenstam (2001) and Lorena Ochoa (2008) as the only players to win four consecutive tournaments. And she joins only Sorenstam (2004-2005) and Nancy Lopez (1978) as having won five consecutive starts.
