FIRST THOUGHT

Lucas Glover did not necessarily need to win the Wyndham Championship to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. In doing so, though, he jumped from 112th to 49th in the point standings, and was the only player to move inside the top 70 on the final weekend. Glover's entrance pushed rookie Austin Eckroat, who entered the week at No. 70, out. Also, Matt Kuchar is now the only player who has qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs in each season since the inception of the FedEx Cup in 2007.
