FIRST THOUGHT

The AIG Women's British Open is being held this week at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England. The event was established in 1976, but was designated as a major until 2001. The last seven winners of the Women’s British Open have come from seven countries — South Africa, Sweden, Germany, Japan, England, South Korea and Thailand. The last American to win the Women’s British Open was Mo Martin at Royal Birkdale in 2014.
