Here is an agonizing stat: By not finishing off and winning the BMW Championship Sunday, Robert MacIntyre became the third player this season to hold the outright lead each of the first three rounds and not win. He joins Jake Knapp (Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches) and Joel Dahmen (Corales Puntacana Championship) in that regard. And had MacIntyre closed the deal, he would have joined Scottie Scheffler (The CJ Cup Byron Nelson) as the season’s only wire-to-wire winners.
