It's hard to categorize 34-year-old Tommy Fleetwood's 2025 as a breakout season. He began the year as the world's ninth-ranked player, having won seven times on the European Tour in his career and played on three European Tour Ryder Cup teams. But this year feels different. Maybe it was the couple of close missed opportunities to earn his first PGA Tour victory and then doing so at the season-finale Tour Championship to also claim the FedEx Cup. Or being Europe's leading point scorer in its Ryder Cup road win last month at Bethpage Black. Or coming from behind to win this past weekend's India Open for his first European Tour win of the season and qualifying tour's Tour Championship. Maybe he's just emerging into one of the game's elite players. And this is what it looks like.
