Players often say that a course "was there for the taking" following a round that offered conducive scoring opportunities. Well, The Sentry field took practically everything from The Plantation Course in Sunday's final round. The scoring average of 66.66 — 6.34 strokes below the par of 73 — was the lowest single-round average on the PGA Tour on record (1983-present). The previous low came at the 2003 American Express — 5.72 strokes under par in the third round at Indian Wells Country Club.
