FIRST THOUGHT

Earlier this week, First Thought reported that national rounds played finished at 1.2% above 2024's total to set a record for the fourth time in five years. Now, the National Golf Foundation is adding more context. For the sixth consecutive year, Americans played more than 500 million rounds nationally. Also, four of the past five years eclipsed the former 2001 rounds played record with 1,500-plus fewer courses.
