Maybe it's not all that surprising that Lucas Glover was one of three co-leaders when The Players Championship's first-round was suspended due to darkness on Thursday evening. He certainly has a familiarity with TPC Sawgrass' Stadium Course as he is playing his 17th Players Championship, tied for the fourth-most starts among players in the field. For Glover, it's only his eighth career first-round lead or co-lead in 552 PGA Tour starts. His 6-under 66 marks his second-lowest score in 44 rounds at TPC Sawgrass. Glover is 0-for-7 when it comes to converting a first-round lead / co-lead into victory and the six-time Tour winner last won in 2023, when he won the Wyndham Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship in successive weeks.
