What social influence does the Masters have on golf? Last week, the National Golf Foundation reported that in the 795 weeks that passed since January 1, 2008, only 33 resulted in a 20% or greater week-over-week increase in overall search popularity for golf. Of that total 14 of the 15 Masters prior to 2023 were among that total.

KURT UNIEK
Player Development Manager, George Dunne National Golf Club
The First Call: Do you have a preferred style or philosophy for teaching golf?
Kurt Uniek: I train the eyes, hands and brain. I let my students know this game is very difficult and it is my job to simplify it so they think they have a chance at it.
TFC: Where is there room for growth within the industry?
KU: I think there is room for growth in every area. If you are not trying to improve and grow then you are dying.
