The Masters represents yet another attempt for Rory McIlroy to complete the career grand slam — and first major title since 2014. Of the five players to achieve the career grand slam — Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarazen — only Sarazen in 1935 completed the slam with a Masters win. Player achieved his at the 1965 U.S. Open, while Woods (2000), Nicklaus (1966) and Hogan (1953) all won the British Open to round out their slams.
