Here is your history lesson for the day: The Philadelphia Cricket Club, host for this week's Truist Championship, is the oldest private club in the United States. Founded in 1854, its Wissahickon Course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast — who was a member of the club — and opened for play in 1922. On a more current note, 11-time PGA Tour winner Justin Rose has a pair of wins in Philadelphia, the 2010 AT&T National at Aronimink Golf Club and 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club.
