CORALES PUNTACANA CHAMPIONSHIP TALKING POINTS
➡️ Reigning champion Garrick Higgo returns to the Corales Puntacana Championship seeking to become the tournament's first multiple winner since its 2018 debut. The 27-year-old South African became the youngest champion in event history last year with a one-stroke victory. Higgo is making his third consecutive appearance in the Dominican Republic this week.
➡️ Former champion Joel Dahmen is making his eighth appearance at the Corales Puntacana Championship, where he won his sole PGA Tour title in 2021. Dahmen set the 18-hole and 36-hole tournament scoring records last year before finishing tied for second. He joins several past winners aiming to become the event's first two-time champion.
➡️ The ninth playing of the Corales Puntacana Championship features a 144-player field competing at the PGA Tour's only event in the Dominican Republic. With only four weeks left before the FedEx Cup playoffs, players on the top-70 bubble, including Stephan Jaeger and Brandt Snedeker, are fighting for critical points. Four past tournament champions are also in the field — Brice Garnett (2018), Joel Dahmen (2021), Chad Ramey (2022) and Garrick Higgo (2025).
