Cell phone usage — for good or bad — has become a common part of American everyday way of life. And that even extends to the golf course, according to a recent National Golf Foundation survey. Of core golfers polled, 76% have golf-specific apps on their phone. As for what they use the apps for, the three biggest reasons were posting scores (65%), tracking shots (55%) and GPS (53%). Tee time booking was next at 37%.
