FIRST THOUGHT

Three takeaways from the Grant Thornton Invitational, won by the team of Lauren Coughlin and Andrew Novak.
▪️ At 28-under 188, Coughlin / Novak set the tournament scoring record previously held by Patty Tavatanakit / Jake Knapp (189/2024), and became the third straight team to carry the 36-hole lead on to victory at the event (Lydia Ko / Jason Day, 2023; Tavatanakit / Knapp, 2024).
▪️ Coughlin / Novak won in their first appearance as a team at the Grant Thornton Invitational. Coughlin finished T7 in 2024 with partner Cameron Young, while Novak wins in his debut start.
▪️ The team of Lottie Woad and Luke Clanton, both of who played collegiately at Florida State University, tied for seventh in their debut after shooting a final-round 10-under 62.
