We know that in 2022 there were 41.1 million on- and off-course golf participants, but the game's reach goes well beyond that figure. According to the National Golf Foundation's 2023 Graffis Report, in 2022, 78.1 million non-golfers followed the game either on television or online, via streamed coverage, read about it, or listened to a golf-related podcast. The combined total of more than 119 million represents nearly one-third of the U.S. population over the age of 5.
